Job Purpose:
- The executive will be responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and overall organizational success by managing day-to-day operations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. His key task would be operationalizing Annual Operating Plans with select initiatives to enable achievement of annual targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- To lead and drive operation’s function at the plant and focus on capacity utilization as well as provide technical & administrative support for expansion/ debottlenecking project
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per the defined targets and requirements of customers as per desired safety, quality, and cost standards
- Provide solutions for all technical issues faced at the plant and develop & implement strategy for debottlenecking/ troubleshooting to achieve efficient production
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and efficiency-boosting initiatives to minimize waste.
- Drive continual improvement in the EHS culture through various initiatives/implementation of systems
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and best practices by implementing robust quality management systems for consistent product reliability.
- Identify opportunities for supply chain integration to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Identify potential risks to manufacturing operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure business continuity
- Coordination with Government and statutory authorities like local, state and central agencies
- Ensure ZERO Accident in overall site operations
- Ensure proper coordination between various functions at the unit level for seamless operations
- Monitor, measure, and review performance of reporting divisions against operating plans and standards
People Management and Development
- Guiding team members to address & resolve performance bottlenecks
- Responsible for career planning, building skills and competencies of key technical manpower
- Develop performance objectives, give periodic feedback, provide recognition for high performance & develop competence at the site
- To ensure the availability of competent manpower for running various operations at both the manufacturing sites
- Strengthen and exhibit organization’s culture and values at workplace
- Ensure cohesive working amongst HOD’s of various functions
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Power and Distribution Transformer Radiators and other Fabricated parts.
- Develop strategies to achieve the business’s vision, mission and objectives. Prepare annual operating plans that support strategic direction and correlate with the annual operating budget.
- Develop and monitor Strategy & its implementation to ensure long term financial viability & growth of the business.
- Oversee operations to ensure the highest standards of production efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.
- Conversant with industry, best practices in the areas of pre- treatment, sheet metal forming including roll forming, various types of Welding including Seam\Spot\TIG\Co2, various painting processes, hot dip galvanizing etc.
- Should be able to re-align the manufacturing lines for optimum quality and productivity involving possible automation.
- Able to build sustainable mutually beneficial relationships with the key customers amongst the domestic transformer manufacturers, also play a key role in developing overseas markets.
- Support sales function to increase business pipeline / create a presence in market.

Qualification
- BE / BSc Tech in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent
Past Experience
- Minimum 20+ years of experience which includes at least 2+ years of experience in a leadership role of managing complete site operation
- Age: 45 – 50 Years
- Must be conversant with the local dialect – Tamil
- Proven track record of consistently achieving targeted production volumes and optimizing yield, with a strong emphasis on reducing production costs and enhancing daily operational competitiveness
- Experience in managing greenfield and/or brownfield projects will be an added advantage
