Job Purpose
- Enact a Business Partner role; by actively contributing to varied core committees and providing high end Business Intelligence required for diligent decision-making regarding investments, project expansions, opportunities for acquisitions, strategic long-term planning and leading a strong financial organization that can address growth challenges in a sustainable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight for the Finance function.
- Think beyond traditional finance; act as a core business strategy partner.
- Fundraising through strong banking relationships.
- Build relationships with SEBI, Banks, Financial Institutions.
- Mobilize funds via Debt, ECB, and GDR.
- Ensure IPO readiness and compliance.
- Represent the organization with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor business profitability; support cost control initiatives.
- Uphold Corporate Governance; share best practices and support stakeholder value creation.
- Advise on tax efficiency across domestic and international units.
- Mitigate risks via robust internal controls.
- Manage Treasury operations (Investments, FX, Hedging, Interest Rate Swaps).
- Provide strategic input on growth areas (M&A, JV, Partnerships) including legal structuring.
- Oversee FEMA, FERA, and legal matters at company/director level.
- Manage IT team; ensure digitization, automation, and IT preparedness.
Relationships
- Manage relationships with Bankers, Institutional Investors, Analysts, Insurance Companies and Legal Partners/Firms
- Partner with internal stakeholders to implement strategies, control costs, and improve performance.
- Interface with Business Heads/Senior Management on control issues; ensure audits include critical risks.
- Liaise closely with internal and statutory auditors; escalate high-risk issues to the audit committee.
- Be part of the company’s core strategy team.
Team Management & Operational Excellence
- Leadership to successfully manage, motivate and create an empowered finance team
- To consistently raise the standards of operation for the finance team
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 20+ years relevant experience.
- Preferred Age: 45–50 years with some flexibility
Past Experience
- Must have experience in:
- Fundraising via Equity, ECB, GDR.
- Manufacturing industry with significant international operations.
- Legacy organizations with strong values and inclusive culture.
- Managing international subsidiaries (in formation or scale-up stages).
- Corporate process and best practice implementation.
- SAP Finance platform.
- Working capital & term loan mobilization.
- Legal matters, FEMA/FERA, and taxation.
- Technologically savvy: familiar with AI, IT, and finance automation.
- Experience in transitioning organizations to IPO compliance is must.
