Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all core operational functions — including sales, supply chain, distribution, Plant Operations, Product— ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Own the company’s P&L; monitor financial performance, ensure cost discipline, and drive profitability.
  • Build and scale resilient systems and processes that support sustainable growth across general trade and other channels.
  • Make fast, data-backed decisions under pressure and ensure that the organization stays agile and responsive to market changes.
  • Create and implement SOPs to ensure smooth functioning of field operations, sales distribution, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive performance KPIs across departments.
  • Mentor and coach mid-level managers, helping to build the next generation of leadership.
  • Track industry and competitor movements to pre-emptively adapt strategy and operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in sales-led organizations, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Durables, or General Trade-heavy industries.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-crore P&L accounts with measurable success in revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable operational systems and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
