Job Purpose

  • The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, achieving both short-term and long-term goals, market share expansion, enhance business, increase productivity, and brand awareness for the assigned business in the pharma care portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth, identify market opportunities and devise plans for market penetration and expansion.
  • Introduce new products and SKUs tailored for the business.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts based on market analysis and sales projections. Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the key customers and engage with them to understand and resolve product & services related complaints.
  • Strengthen relationships with key clients, identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell products, enhance revenue streams.
  • Work in tandem with other departments such as marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and research & development to ensure seamless operations and effective teamwork across the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including distributors and channel partners. Collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Manage union relations with sensitivity, mitigate risk and navigate complex situations effectively.
  • Analyze market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitor activities, and industry trends to uncover growth opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all sales activities and interactions.
  • Manage and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support. Allocate resources effectively to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Establish clear performance objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team. Monitor performance, provide regular feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Life Sciences i.e. B. Pharm / M. Pharm / B. Sc.
  • 18 – 20 years of sales experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and achieving targets within the acute care segment.
    Minimum 3 years of experience in managing PAN India responsibility having successfully managed Sales P&L of INR 300 crores
  • Experience of managing mass volume business/ multiple SKU’s and large team size is a must.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market, regulatory requirement, and healthcare trends pertinent to the acute segment.
