Job Purpose
- The executive would be accountable to provide strategic direction, building the organization in a profitable and sustainable way to a position of market pre-eminence and Global leadership. This would involve evaluating and implementing short-term & long-term strategies for the organization, laying strategic road maps and acting as a navigator to help the organization achieve new performance milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize the business, improve profitability, and spearhead initiatives related to digitization and sustainability. Additionally accountable for driving strategy & building company culture.
- Provide strategic leadership for the company by working with the MD and Board to establish long-range goals, strategic plans, and policies.
- Manage P&L and drive overall profitability and build sources of growth and value creation that are sustainable.
- Lead to create a value based, performance driven culture, aligned to the execution of long-term strategy.
- Establish effective communication processes both internal and external for enhancing business and the Company’s brand value.
- Identify and build a strong, diverse team and organization to become a respectful and reliable player in the industry.
- Spearhead continuous improvement philosophy within the organization. Benchmark best practices and drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Anchor a global mindset within the organization and manage critical domestic/global partnerships with top customers and other key stakeholders.
- Closely work with consultants to develop and refine the organization’s strategic direction and growth roadmap.
- Lead growth initiatives for expansion of Local/Global customer relationships, capacity enhancements, Acquisition opportunities etc.
- As a thought leader, engage with Policy makers to evangelize and champion the new technologies.
- Lead, motivate and inspire a strong, diverse team of senior and experienced leaders and build a strong organization.
- Systematic review of organizational and competitive performance to track success and identify priorities for improvements.
- Lead from the front, with “Hands On” approach, energy, and vision. Create and sustain an environment for empowerment, innovation, and learning.
- Drive elevated level of performance by bringing in a sense of urgency, focus on agility and speed of execution.
- Develop leadership pipeline across functions and levels to provide effective succession.
- Build capability development across levels and Champion talent management philosophy.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, an MBA would be preferrable.
- 25+ years’ techno commercial experience, with at least 5 years+ as a CEO / Profit Centre Head with revenues exceeding 3000+ Cr.
- Experience of working with large/diversified manufacturing organizations, especially in the B2B business having multilocation sites.
- Age: Up to 56 years (Early 50’ preferred).
- Seasoned executive with a track record spanning diverse industries and functional domains, including both Indian and multinational corporations.
- Demonstrated success as a P&L leader, consistently driving growth initiatives.
- Possesses the stature to effectively engage with and integrate feedback from the Board, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Experienced in shaping growth strategies, engaging in M&A activities, and proficient in financial analysis.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, with expertise in project leadership and the implementation of licensed technology at scale.
- Functional expertise in at least two major business functions, such as manufacturing, sales, or supply chain management.
- Proficient in delivering value in cost-conscious environments, with a keen understanding of business drivers and cost management principles.
- Preference for candidates with experience in global matrix environments.
- Ability to navigate and manage complexity as the business expands exponentially.
