Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing

  • Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations of the plant
  • Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
  • Responsible for achievement of production/dispatch as per plans as well as continuous reduction in rejection/rework
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Meet product build plans and sales forecasts by developing production planning and scheduling systems, optimizing labor, equipment, and inventory resources, examining, and resolving schedule and quality nonconformities and problems.

Quality

  • Creating and nurturing Quality Focused and Customer -centric Work Culture in the plant
  • Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement
  • Set high-quality benchmarks and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process. Implement robust quality assurance programs, including inspections, testing, and audits, to consistently deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Implement TQM/LEAN projects

  • Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Minimize waste and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives and business excellence in the operations
  • EHS – ensure plant safety procedures practices are implemented   and   adhered   Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices. Foster a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within manufacturing operations.
  • Managing the supply chain with emphasis on continuous cost reduction and timely deliveries of bought out components.
  • Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals
  • Provide clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Design, Engineering, Sales, R&D, and Customer Support, to synchronize operations, drive product innovation, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Plant based role. Frequent travels to other offices / customers

  • Achievement of VA quantum as per annual business plan.
  • Achieve production as per daily production plan
  • Take Manufacturing Excellence program to next level
  • Timeliness, cost & quality of manufacturing output
  • Quality improvement & improving PPM (trends in waste / scrap)
  • No of TQM / LEAN projects implemented (savings)
  • Parameters of Productivity improvement due to smart manufacturing / Industry 4.0 adoption
  • Ensure 5S Activities on the shopfloor
  • Accident-Free Days

Key Skills

  • Manufacturing 4.0, ISO Standards, Manufacturing and Business Excellence, Working on SAP / other ERP Systems, exposure to lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Exposure to refrigeration, air conditioning or appliances industry with exposure to fabrication and PUF (Poly Urethane Foam) exposure.
  • Financial acumen – String focus and ability to save costs.
  • Risk assessment of all projects and formulation of mitigation plans.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in related industry.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical/ Production / Electrical / Industrial Engineering. Post graduation in Operations Management will be preferred.
  • Ideal Age: Between 40-45 Years.
  • 18+ yrs of relevant experience. Overall experience of 22+ years.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale manufacturing operations, with exposure to lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Familiarity with best practices in quality control, safety, and compliance.
