Key Responsibilities

Operation & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Plan and implement plant operation plan in line with the business. Build & monitor clear and measurable performance matrices. Coach & guide team members to achieve them.
  • Drive continuous improvement project through work standardization & other manufacturing cost reduction programs to improve productivity and quality.
  • To communicate training needs, process improvement suggestions & follow up on implementation.
  • Guide team preplanning and follow up of all jobs to utilize optimum resources – manpower & equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Operation Team to identify, analyze and solve problems associated with the product & equipment.
  • Daily production planning from coating to rewinding to optimize the Productivity. Controlling activities within defined section and discipline including but not limited to safety and maintenance as laid down in Department process manuals, fault diagnosis and corrective action, development etc.
  • Controlling consumables stock level & initiation replenishment.
  • Motivate the team for optimum performance, monitor the performance to improve the OEE and provide continuous appraisal of all subordinates.
  • Take ownership of success or failure (as the case may be), of his department / responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback to management for budget planning, inventory control and manpower control.
  • Responsible for achieving the production target with the required quality, safety and reducing Scarp rate at each stage of operation of the department.
  • To optimize Reprocessed consumption & recycle solvent consumption at Both the Coater & Printer.
  • Production planning in coordination with Supply Chain & ensure to meet the plan accordingly.
  • Other responsibilities as laid down in company procedures or as per the requirement by the management from time to time.

Lead safety and security for an injury free work environment.

  • Provide a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Shows passion and caring for our people and leads from a place of safety and the other objectives of the business.
  • Promote Heath & Wellness as per OC Framework
  • Conducting departmental safety training for each operation & ensure the safety rules & procedures are maintained.

Leading and Developing Talent

  • Leverage TPM methodology for Skill advancement & development with the workforce.
  • Coach and develop manager/ supervisor for success.

  • Techno-commercial acumen with proficiency in managing Manufacturing P&L.

Qualification & Experience

  • An Engineer – Chemical/ Polymer Science/ Mechanical with over 25 years of experience, possessing good knowledge of Chemical, Chemistry, and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Age: Up to 54 Years
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading complete site operations, preferably with a blend of experience in both multinational and esteemed Indian companies.
  • Industry: Polymer/ Engineering Plastics, Textiles, Flexible Packaging, Paints, or any other specialty chemical organization
  • Knowledge of Plastics & Polymer processing & composition as well as managing union interactions would be an added advantage.
  • Track record in driving performance and achieving operational excellence. Exposure to Lean methodologies such as TPM, Kaizen, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Experience in liaising with Government authorities and statutory bodies.
  • Strong orientation towards systems and processes, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality and safety standards.
