Job Purpose

  • The primary focus of this role extends to the Indian subcontinent (specifically India and Bangladesh). The incumbent will actively engage with and manage domestic and global stakeholders, including Business leaders and Vendors, while representing the interests of the Indian subcontinent.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the CIO of India and Subcontinent region and lead, define and execute the technology infrastructure (on-prem/cloud), network and infosec strategy.
  • Collaborates closely with the Technology Delivery Leads to Plan and implement various technology solutions – covering the entire technology stack, identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
  • Monitor performance of information technology systems and networks to determine cost and productivity levels and implement improvements.
  • Leads the 24X7 IT support helpdesk having capabilities of L1 support of applications and L1/L2/L3 support for all of IT hardware, networking and Infrastructure. Pushes & sets processes for high KPI compliance, maintaining operational excellence.
  • Troubleshooting systems issues and interfacing with application providers, data center teams, and systems vendors on support issues
  • Provides infrastructure services vision, enables innovation, and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company’s requirements and expectations.
  • Works closely with Global stakeholders, Sub-continent Leadership, understand Business Goals to develop enterprise standards, technology architecture and the IT operations governance process.
  • Influence the IT, Infrastructure, Networking and InfoSec policies and governance processes globally by partnering with peers across the regions and the organization’s HO.
  • Conduct product and vendor evaluations ensuring best in class technologies and partners.
  • Strategic vendor partner relationships. Setup and run the Governance with the partners. Build strategic relationships for creating value for the organization.
  • Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly available server and network architectures.
  • Ensure Info Security & Cyber Security Compliance as per Regulatory Standards & Standard Industry Guidelines.
  • Maintain beyond hygiene security of Cloud, Data & IT Systems. Handle Security incidents, timely closure, and prepare RCA. Timely closure on VAPT findings on IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and recommend solutions and approaches based on knowledge, past experiences, best practices and lessons learned. Participate in various project meetings, liaise with various business groups & leaders in the organization, examine business requirements documents containing process flow charts, data requirements and flows, hardware, software, and integration needs and work with the BU and global technology teams to ensure thorough and accurate information.
  • Assist with configuration, testing, training and go-live for Ports & Terminals and Logistics application & infrastructure projects.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Graduate/ Postgraduate in Engineering – B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech / MCA / M. Sc. (Computer Science)
  • 18+ years of experience in Information Technology governance, information security and risk management.
  • 12+ years of leadership experience with 8+ years of experience of leading other people leaders who manage IT, Infrastructure, Networking and Security.
  • Experience in managing various assets laptops/desktop/handhelds/printers/firewalls/switches etc.
  • A seasoned expert in IT Infrastructure with experience in managing Platforms, data centers, servers, networks, storage, Cloud environment, and security tools, Storage & Databases.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, intrusion detection and incident response
  • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements such as GLBA, SOX, PCI, and HIPAA, along with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT
  • Experience in creation and monitoring spend of IT, infra, security and applications budget.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards related to information security and risk management.
  • Deep understanding of Ports & Terminals IT & technology ecosystem both hardware & applications.
  • Experience of previously managing Terminal Operating System like Navis is huge plus.
  • Industry recognized certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISO is a plus.
