Key Responsibilities
- The role calls for a hands-on leader and builder, capable of demonstrating proven techno-commercial success in creating a business from the ground up. As CEO, the individual will oversee commercial operations, technical applications & strategic sourcing while ensuring robust governance in compliance with both Indian and Brazilian regulations.
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a robust business growth strategy aligned with organizational goals and the vision.
- Drive revenue growth through business development, market penetration and customer diversification.
- Challenge and deliberate the existing business plan, bringing an outside-in perspective to identify strategic levers for scaling the business.
- Understand market trends, competitors, product portfolios & USPs to analyse and drive sales strategy.
- Set commercial targets, lead client negotiations, establish mechanisms for result tracking and ensure effective implementation of business strategies.
- Build a lean and effective organization structure with a strong, capable cross-functional team.
P&L and Business Management
- Take full ownership of the complete P&L of the business.
- Monitor financial performance and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify new synergies to enhance profitability and overall business performance.
- Ensure sustained profitability through effective pricing, margin improvements and strategic cost control.
Sales & Business Development
- Build a high-performance sales and business development team, develop go-to-market strategies, key account management frameworks and establish long-term partnerships with the target industries.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and address product & service-related complaints effectively.
- Strong network in the construction chemicals, paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and textile industry is desirable.
Operations & Supply Chain
- Develop and streamline systems in collaboration with plant teams to enhance effectiveness in cost, time, and quality parameters.
- Focus on sourcing, demand forecasting, and production planning.
- Negotiate favourable terms, explore new partnerships, and identify alternative sourcing options.
- Oversee vendor development and supply chain optimization to ensure cost competitiveness and uninterrupted product availability.
Product Development
- Supervise the operations of technical application laboratories to support new product development and provide technical assistance to customers.
- Facilitate product testing, problem resolution and contribute to continuous expansion of the product portfolio.
People & Organization Leadership
- Build, mentor and lead a strong cross-functional team capable of scaling with the business.
- Collaborate with HR to define leadership profiles and recruit talent to meet operational goals.
- Manage the cultural diversity between Indian and Brazilian partners, setting the right model behaviour for new hires.
- Lead by example with high energy, inspiring the company’s leadership team and promoting a collaborative culture.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to Indian and Brazilian regulatory frameworks and corporate governance standards.
- Work closely with the board and promoters of both organizations to align business strategy with governance

- Must be capable of driving the JV to achieve strong momentum in its first year, creating the foundation for ambitious growth ahead.
- Experience in working with and managing board-level governance.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc Chemistry / BE in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Technology with MBA/PG degree is preferred.
- 20+ years of experience with at least 10 years managing commercial activities.
- Good understanding of Supply Chain management and ability to make the JV successful and create value
- Exposure to P&L and business management with global experience would be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage India operations and drive international integration are highly desirable.
- Expertise in acrylic chemistry is desirable; however, candidates from the specialty chemicals industry with in-depth knowledge of product applications and market dynamics can be considered.
